We are enjoying the cool snap brought on by another bout of rain and thunder storms! It gets very hot down here in the deep south, so we appreciate every bit of coolness we can get!

Rod and I are went to brunch with my cousin, her husband and their toddler. I often babysit “Cashew” and we have a great time bonding! Then we were going over to work on the house, but had to drop off the doggie bag, which I knew was a mistake! We both heard the whisper of naptime, it’s Sunday! Later, Rod went on over and I’m home catching up! For those that don’t know, we bought a house in an older neighborhood that belonged to Rod’s best friend’s parents. The house has good bones, and has been well cared for -although never updated. We’re in the process of cleaning and prepping to paint and re-floor.

Spring means crawfish boils! With the warmer weather and the loosening of the COVID restrictions, we are starting to get out a bit. And it also means things are starting to sell! I’m trying to rid my house of things I won’t use, like my Mother’s Fostoria crystal, (which is killing me), dolls etc. I am continuing to work on my studio and was able to sell my Stamp n Storage units. NO!  I am not getting out of Stampin’ Up! just reorganizing to get a more orderly and uniform look. Now I can replace my units with the Stamp n Storage holders (for inks, ribbons, punches) that fit the Ikea units! Houston, I’m coming! (That’s the closest Ikea store!)

At home, I finally finished refinishing my Mother’s cherry desk and chair as well as my desk that I was painting for my studio! The color is icy blue, but came out a little more aqua. I love it anyway and it must be the right color since many of my accessories match!

In the world of Stampin’ Up!, the new catalog goes “LIVE” on May 4th. As a demonstrator, I got to preorder some things to play with. (Perks of being a demonstrator!) Among them are the latest “In Colors” which are absolutely YUMMY! With the ending of one catalog, you know what that means?!? Just slightly over a week before the retiring products are gone for good! Snatch up the ones you have been on the fence about before it’s too late. Here are some of my favs that are retiring and a couple samples.
