Hi stampin’ friends!
Last week at Hostess Club I used two of the new sets in the new catalog! The Pineapple reminds me of summer days spent on the beach drinking Pina Coladas!
I also used the brayer to create the background and to ink up the pineapple. Sponging is another way to add varied colors to make a beautiful background.

DIRCTIONS:
- ** (see tips) Ink Brayer with Garden Green and roll over top of pineapple. Repeat with Delightful Dijon for bottom of pineapple.
- For background—start with lightest blue-Pool Party and brayer front of card.
- Ink about 1” of the end of the brayer with Marina Mist and ink 1/3 of the card top and bottom.
- Repeat next with So Saffron and finally with Peekaboo Peach, on the top of your card.
It is very important to pay attention to the brayer tips! This may take some practice!
5. Cut the strip of Garden Green with the fringe scissors. Use adhesive to glue to the bottom of card and “wrinkle” the blades of grass.
6. Punch a hole in the pineapple and add the straw—adhere with a dimensional. Add 3 dimensionals to back and tuck in the grass.
7. Stamp sentiment and cut out using Framelits. Adhere and punch hole.
8. Tie ribbon around “neck” of pineapple and thread through the sentiment Tie a bow.
TECHNIQUES:
- Using a Brayer.
- Inking direct to stamp.
TIPS:
1.Ink the Brayer in one direction only.
2. Roll Brayer several times on scratch paper until there are no lines—lines are caused by too much ink.
3. Ink card in one direction. You can always add more ink.
4. For pineapple, turn ink pad upside down and ink each part. Remember to “huff” before stamping to remoisten the stamp. Another way is to use the brayer, cleaning well before using the second color of ink.
