I can’t believe it’s finally here-Christmas Eve!
I did come home yesterday and made a batch of my Momma’s Dishpan Cookies as well as making two Chicken Pot Pies. One we’ll eat tonight and the other goes out to the freezer (supper for a crazy day)!
We have to work Christmas Eve morning due to a late shipment of supplies. Then it’s home to bake another batch of my Poppy Seed Bread (made with orange juice right out of my yard!) and do a last bit of straightening, dusting etc. Christmas day, we will be at my first cousin’s home for their annual open house around noon. Then on to my brother-in-law’s for another open house/bonfire later in the afternoon. You know what that means??? I get out of hosting and cooking.
What are you asking Santa for this year? I have asked for the same thing for the last several years…a house elf, you know like in Harry Potter. Needless to say Santa hasn’t come through-yet. Maybe in the new year with a new house!?!
