I’m writing today’s post at 5:30 P.M. That’s 12-1/2 hours late! What can I say? I haven’t been laying on the sofa eating Bon-bons, that’s for sure! In fact I’m not sure who I am and who is inhabiting my body! I have been COOKING! So far (yesterday & today) I have cooked red beans, chicken taco soup, vegetable soup and chicken & sausage gumbo! And I made a roux! The only other time was when Momma taught me ! That was about the time when everyone was starting to use the oilless roux- browning flour in the oven or microwave.  She insisted I had to know how it was done. It took an hour! (I’ve been using Tony Chachere’s roux & gravy mix ) Today’s took way longer- guess I was afraid Momma was watching and I was scared to death I’d burn it. Well, I didn’t burn it and gumbo is cooking. I tend to lean the freezer out during hurricane months. So now I’ve gotten a good start on filling it back up!

Christmas is over, but I’m still finding cute things to share with you! This elf box (or is that the Grinch?) was made using the Fry Box!

Hoping you had a great Christmas!
     Happy stampin’,
~Laura
