Hope you had a good day! Today I worked some more on my layout for Hostess Club on Wednesday. As I told you yesterday, the group wants to try Project Life. Stampin’ Up! offers two designs in the photo pocket pages. For this first meeting we’ll all be using the same one–design 1 12″ x 12″.
I’ve placed my pictures and cards where I think I want them. (The beauty of this kind of scrappin’ is that you can move things around!) I told the members of the group to bring from 4-8 horizontal pictures. They will have the choice of 2-4″ x 6′ cards and 4-3″ x 4″ cards and embellishments from the accessory kit. The other spaces will be filled with cardstock.
I decided to go back in time to when Beau and I were engaged and had showers. The pictures are 3″ x 5″ so I mounted them on cardstock. Mine of course, is very colorful and I hope it will show off the wonderful event. I am thinking maybe this would be a good way to keep those memories, and at the same time get rid of some of my excess pictures and photo albums. I’ll let you know how it goes. Here is what I have done so far.

This is the first card–the title of the spread. I used the stick on
letters from the accessory kit for the words.
And I did a little punch art for the umbrella and raindrops.

I used the small sweetheart punch for the raindrops.

I cut the hearts in 1/2 to resemble the drops.

For the umbrella, I punched a circle using the 2-1/2″circle
punch.
I cut is slightly bigger than 1/2. The border
punch was used for the edge.

The word window punch was used for the handle.
The handle is black but I used the strawberry
slush so it would show up in this picture. First I
punched a window and then I punched just a sliver
for the handle.

Last I put a “diamond” on the heart and coated
the raindrops in Crystal Effects to give a 3-D look.

Stay tuned! I’ll have more to show you tomorrow!
Happy stampin’,
