Happy May Day!
I told you yesterday that I’m preparing for my Pokeno group at my house on Thursday night. And tonight, my other group met. Yes, I’m in two different groups and Beau says he’s going to put that in my obituary that I was a member of two pokeno groups. When I leave the house he always says, “I hope you win or loose!” Usually there are three prizes for first, second, blackout and boobie. If you don’t win one of those you are really a looser. Tonight I won second place and got a cute purple and gold t-shirt. It’ll make a great bathing suit coverup! And the saying on the back is perfect!

Today’s card was made by one of Stampin’ Up!’s rising stars. His name is Brian King and he’s very talented. As you can see it is quite simple and uses only a few tools.

by Anne Burr

Brian used the ovals collection framelits (I just got these) to cut the basic black cardstock and the  Sweet Sorbet DSP that was featured during Sale-a-Bration.
TIP: Pick a designer series paper (DSP) and use the colors in the paper to pick a couple solid colors to complement the paper. Use those colors to pick cardstock for your base colors. Add a sentiment and some ribbon and there you have it –a quick and simple card.
TIP: In the catalog where the DSP is listed, Stampin’ Up! has put the colors used in the designer paper! So there is no guess work –it’s all right there for you!
Happy stampin’,
