Just got in from Beau’s (Sweet Hubby) birthday dinner at our favorite restaurant Louisiana Lagniappe. He had steak and I had the seafood salad, yum! They have the best remoulade dressing and they sell it by the quart! Hmmm next party here I come!

Well, I seem to be getting a reputation for bling. Now I am not a big jewelry, sparkly kind of gal…but a little rhinestone, gold, etc.  –just a touch can really add to yourself or your project. We learned at Leadership that gold is IN! Another trend that can add a little glitz.

In the Occasions catalog, Stampin’ Up! has featured Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. The sheets are embossed in gold or silver designs. Also feature is the Gold Sequin Trim, Foil sheets in silver and gold, and Baker’s Twine in gold and silver.

On the card I made with the Peachy Keen set, I used the gold baker’s twine and the sequins.
It’s not over powering, just enough to give it interest.

Another way to add a little fun to your cards and projects is to use the Metallic Encore Pad in gold and silver. Even if glitz is not for you–try just a little. You might find you like it!
     Happy stampin’,
