Cut and Emboss in the Kitchen!
Hello from Baton Rouge where yet again we have survived the latest hurricane (Delta)! I woke up Friday morning to no power which means NO COFFEE! So I got out the old coffee pot, decided which die from the Stitched Shapes dies would fit and cut some coffee filters with the Cut and Emboss machine!!! Did you know you can use it in the kitchen!!!
Moving
We are moving the end of the month so I have been packing up, organizing, and throwing out. At the end of this week, I am taking a few days off! I am driving with a friend to visit another friend at The Villages in Florida. This trip was planned way before our move was scheduled! The good and the bad of packing to move is suddenly needing something and having to go through the boxes to find it.
Rod decided to help me by packing up most of the kitchen. I had promised to bring a dish my mother used to make. It’s called Fideo, a southwest Texas dish. After buying all the ingredients, low and behold, I couldn’t find the garlic, cumin or the big pot to hold it. I was about to give up when I found another box of spices which inspired me to keep looking for that pot! Found! The Fideo is in the fridge-it’s one of those recipes that is better the second or third day!
Holiday Cards
While in Florida I plan to finish my Halloween and Thanksgiving cards as well as work on Christmas cards. (If you visit my Gallery, you can see the cards I am working on for the holidays!) Can you believe the holidays are right around the corner! I will be using the Gnome for the Holidays set for some of my Christmas cards.
