After the trauma of my desktop dying and getting a laptop for the first time, I think I’m back in “bizness”! I am way, way behind so I may be repeating some of the posts to keep it all together.
As I posted on June 25, I started a new hostess club. Here is a repeat of that post along with this weeks deals.

                                   Mint Macaron (138333 $15 set of 5)
ACCESSORIES:   Clear window Sheet
                              Blender Pens (102845 $10)
                              Mint Macaron Ribbon 18” (138424 $6)
                              Dimensionals (104430 $4)
                              Snail Adhesive (104332 $7)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Adhere Mint Macaron CS to Lost Lagoon CS and set aside.
2. Stamp background on Very Vanilla CS and adhere to smaller Lost Lagoon CS.     Tie a bow with the ribbon around the CS.
3. Use 4 dimensionals to adhere Very Vanilla mat to larger Lost Lagoon mat.
4. Stamp flower with black ink and stamp on Watercolor Paper. Using Elegant      Eggplant and Perfect Plum markers, color with wide end of marker on to window sheet making two “puddles” of ink. Pick up the ink with the blender pen to color in the flower. Use the darker color for shading. (Clean pen when changing colors by gently wiping back and forth on scratch paper until clean.)
5. Cut out flower and use 3 dimensionals for flower and 1-2 for stem and leaves. (You may need to cut the dimensional in 1/2 so it won’t show).
TECHNIQUE:
Blending with Stampin’ Up! Markers-here I used our Blender Pens, but our Aqua Painters could also be used when working with Watercolor Paper.
Blendabilities may be substituted for markers if you have them.
TIPS:
Now that you have the NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalog:
1. take your time and go through it page by page. Mark the things you like with sticky notes! This is also a wonder idea book for you to see how stamps are used for the samples.
2. Make a “wish list”. I use the same idea as a running grocery list. Mark out things you get and rewrite when necessary.
3. Take an inventory of things you have and mark it in your catalog. If you will keep it updated, it will keep you from duplicating your stock.

Hope you enjoy this sample and remember–if you don’t have all these supplies, try substituting what you do have. And please feel free to share. I would love to see what you come up with!

And remember, I’ll be posting twice a week-Tuesdays and Thursdays. So stay tuned for new techniques and tips.

Happy stampin’,
~Laura
