It’s fun to try something new and be successful! Last night I worked on a Stampin’ Up! Yard sign. I got the large logo from SU and wanted to add my email to it. So I pulled out my cricut and dusted it off and set out to learn how to cut letters in vinyl. I didn’t see any reference to it in my Cricut class notes from 2 years ago, so I searched google! (I love google-don’t you!?!) And there I found an easy, sure way to not only cut my letters but apply them to my sign!
Nancy Jongenotter Hoevelaken made the YouTube video and it worked!

Here is the finished product! (If you stand on one leg and tilt your head, you’ll see it’s almost straight!) |

First I cut my letters using 3-3-2 for my settings. Putting your blade on 2 cuts the vinyl but not the backing! Pull away the vinyl not to be used leaving the letters. |

Next cover the letters with painters tape and gently pull off the backing. |

I used my White Stampin’ Chalk Marker and laid my letters down. Then I gently pulled off the painters tape leaving the letters on the board. |

And like magic, alcohol takes off the white chalk line! Yippee! Another success story! |
