At stamp camp last week, one of my newer stampers requested that I teach Double Embossing. I made two cards using slightly different takes on the embossing.
Here’s the first card made using two embossing folders

STAMP SET: Painted Petals
CARD STOCK: Strawberry Slush 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
      Pistachio Pudding 4” x 5-1/4”
      Whisper White 3-3/4” x 5”
INK:  Strawberry Slush
Pistachio Pudding
ACCESSORIES: Fancy Fan Embossing Folder
      Fun Frames Embossing Folder
      Big Shot
DIRECTIONS FOR EMBOSSING:
USING 2 FOLDERS
First-run cardboard with center inset through big shot and cut out the center–save both pieces. Here a frame was used and the rectangle cut out.
Using tab 2: Layer your project in the following order:
(No bottom cutting plate)
1. Folder (fan folder used here)-bumps on the bottom with cardstock inside.
  1. Cardboard cutout
  2. Clear cutting plate
Next: for frame
Using tab 2 (No bottom cutting plate)
  1. May need to use shims (cardboard & 1 sheet card stock) to get better impression.
  2. Center frame folder with cardstock inside.
  3. Place the cutout piece from above over frame-may need to tack it with adhesive.
  4. Clear cutting plate.

PLEASE NOTE: every Big Shot is slightly different. Experiment with different thicknesses of cardboard for your template and/or cardstock. Mine needed cardboard and a piece of cardstock. Yours may need more or less or different thicknesses!

Hope you will try this fun technique!

Happy stampin’,
