Mardi Gras is over and lent has begun and spring is on it’s way. I went to early services at St. James Episcopal this morning to receive ashes. I found this explanation of Ash Wednesday.

In the context of the Ash Wednesday imposition of ashes, they remind
each penitent of their sinfulness and mortality, and, thus, their need
to repent and get right with God before it is too late. The cross
reminds each penitent of the good news that through Jesus Christ
crucified there is forgiveness for all sins, all guilt, and all
punishment.

I have been working on tonight’s scrapbook layout for hostess club. I am scrapping some of my Leadership pictures that I will soon share with you. Until then, I found this beautiful card on stampinup.com. The stamp set is an Easter set, out of the Occasions Catalog, called Indescribable Gift. I’m not sure, but I think these are cherry blossoms, a sure sign of spring.

Happy stampin’,
