Last night was pokeno! I am a member of two groups (which Beau says he’ll be sure to put in my obituary)! The first group, known as the LBA group is made up of teachers, etc. with ties to La Belle Aire Elementary school. Last night’s group, the Edna Gladney group is made up of mom’s that adopted children from Edna Gladney or have ties to those people. For those that don’t know what pokeno is, it is similar to bingo, but with playing cards. We play for prizes and we’re very competitive. Lulie always won and had to drop out recently so I guess I took her place–at least for last night. I was teased unmercifully – but hey-someone has to win and it may as well be me! We played at Pat’s and she served chicken Fettuccine, green salad, fruit salad, green beans and Sister Schubert rolls. dessert, brownies and Blue Bell ice cream, a winning combination! The prizes were cash! So that will be added to my Stampin’ Up! leadership/convention fund!
Did you know Christmas is in the air? With the release of Stampin’ Up!s holiday catalog I am seeing alot of card samples using sets from the holiday catalog. Demonstrators are allowed to preorder sets (another perk!) and mine came in this week. Hopefully I’ll get to play with them this weekend while listening to the LSU game and hosting Sunday Stamp & Sip. (This is where you come over and catch up on things stampin’ or other things or just come to visit!) Here is an example I found at stampinup.com.
