Today I worked on my layout for tonight’s hostess club. I used the card from Kinda Eclectic as my inspiration and I love the way it turned out.

Here is the finished product! I stamped the “sun
and rays” in Crushed Curry with the leaves and
then used So Saffron to randomly stamp the
shape again. This technique is called tone on tone.
Sorry it doesn’t show up very well in the picture.
TIP: I cut off 2-1/2″ off each 12″ x 12″ sheet. I ran the strips through
the big shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. The folder is 6″ so you
have to do it twice.
TIP: Next I inked up my brayer in Pear Pizzazz and gently
rolled it the full length of each embossed strip to cover
the raised dots.
TIP: You can use the Burlap Ribbon in several different ways. Here I am
pulling off the selvage (that keeps the ribbon from fraying) and
then I pulled two threads for each bow.

Here I put all the threads together and made “bunny
ears” to make the bow.
Knot
TIP:Now I am attaching the embossed piece to each side
where it was cut off. I used a 1″ x 12″ of scrap cardstock
to reinforce and hold the two pieces together. I flipped it
over and used good ole scotch tape to give it some added
strength. You can also see how I stamped the “sun and rays”
first, next the light green leaves followed by the darker ones.
The DSP I selected had scallops and I wanted to use my Scallop
Border Punch. The scallops do not line up so this is an optional
step.
TIP: When I am cutting small strips of paper, I use some painters tape
to keep it in place.

I “fluffed” up the bow and anchored the knot with a glue dot.
The butterflies were cut out of DSP with the embosslit.
Add sequins, gold clip and there you have it.
