I finally got around to finishing some cards I started a couple weeks ago! Do you ever do that? One was a wedding card and the other an anniversary card for my sister and brother-in-law. When is their anniversary? Tomorrow! When is it going out? Tomorrow! Oh heck, I’ve just got too much going on. I guess it’s better late than never! Right!

I wish I could claim the design of this card, but one of my talented demonstrators, Tracey did it first. So I have CASEd this card and I love it. Very simple but elegant. See what you think!?!

STAMP SET: Flower Shop (W130939 $23.95; C 130942 $17.950
Teeny Tiny Wishes (see TIP below)

CARD STOCK: Smokey Slate (131202 $6.95) 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″; scrapes
                         Whisper White (100730 $8.50) 4′ x 5-1/4″; scrapes

INK: None
         Markers: Blushing Bride (131265 $3.50)

ACCESSORIES: Pansey Punch (130698 $15.95)
Embossing Folder (the one used here is retired–please don’t kill me-others can                                    be substituted)
                           Sticky Strip (104294 $6.95)
                           Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755 $3.95)
                           Dazzling Diamonds (133751 $4.95)

TIP: Dazzling Diamonds is a glitter-not embossing powder. It can be used a couple ways. Here I                used the Multipurpose glue and sprinkled the glitter on the flowers (just like we did in                  elementary school!
Another way is to use a stamp to stamp the center using VersaMark. Then sprinkle with                    Heat and Stick Powder (100625 $4.50) and heat it with a heat gun. Immediately                            sprinkle with glitter and heat again to set it.
I have to admit I was a little intimidated by the Heat and Stick powder–Lord only knows                  why!?! It is very simple to use!

TIP: I’ve shared this tip before, but when using an embossing folder that has a lot of embossing-                  use sticky strip to make sure it stays in place. I used it on the banner above.

TIP: Now —the “How’d she do that?” part. I didn’t have a stamp large enough that said happy                     anniversary so I went to MDS (my digital studio) and opened a project (8-1/2″ x 11″)                   and clicked stamps. When the box opened I typed in happy anniversary in the search                     box and resized it to the size I wanted! Cool! Tracey taught me that too! Sooo, when                     you don’t have a stamp-check out MDS and see what’s available!

Hope you’ll try some of the things I telling you about! In fact I’m going back to all my old posts and adding TIPS in the label part so you can pull up previous tips I’ve shared with you!

Happy stampin’,
~Laura
