Today is my youngest granddarlin’s 12th birthday! So happy birthday Darlin’! Your BeauBet loves you! Where have the years gone!?! I just got off the phone with her. She was telling me all about her field trip to Charleston. Wow! Kids do really neat trips these days. It was two days and they had a blast! I had to cut her call short because her Dad was facetiming me since he couldn’t get her. Jace is working as a Respiratory Therapist in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

The weekend was nice and productive. I finished some cards (the leftovers from stamp camp), did a little house cleaning and I am almost caught up with my projects on my DBSW (demonstrator business website). That’s where you go for online shopping, ideas and to check out my events. Here is the link–Laura’s online store. You can also contact me there and request my newsletter!

I found this card on stampinup.com and it’s also on pinterest. Very sweet and simple! I have a hard time doing simple and not using lots of colors, but I am trying now and then to do simple. This card uses Gorgeous Grunge and Petite Petals. I can’t remember if I’ve talked about Gorgeous Grunge before. If so, forgive me. That was a stamp set given to us at convention last summer. And I probably wouldn’t have ordered it cuz it is not me! BUT, that said the more I see and experiment with it the better I like it.

Now, there are two ways I know of to “test ” out a stamp set before you buy it. You can google it and see images (just click on the word image) and samples of cards made with a specific stamp set or you can go to splitcoaststampers. In the middle of the page it says Stampin’ Up!. Click on that and go to mini catalogs, or stamp sets A-B, C-D, etc. and look up the name of the stamp set you’d like to see samples for! This way you can “try it before you buy it!”

     More tomorrow. happy stampin’,
~Laura
