Yikes! I woke up to 19 degree temperature! There was ice on parts of the LSU lakes, and my birdbath was frozen solid along with 2 of my begonias I forgot to bring in! On the editorial page in this mornings paper, The Advocate, was a cartoon that was very appropriate! In November I shared a picture of 400-500 white pelicans that had come to winter on our lakes. After the first cold snap, that number significantly shrunk to about 12!

Of course there is an upside. I LOVE cold weather and would be in hog heaven if I was on the ski slopes in Aspen. But since I’m not…I bundled up in my coat, my LSU muffler and my earmuffs! It felt good!
Now I’m almost packed and ready for Leadership! I can hardly wait!
